This extremely sturdy steel welded series, containing three legs for assembly with twin wheels, is build up with heavy lasered and machined steel parts. The swivel head has a steel hardened axial grooved ball bearing and a steel hardened tapered roller bearing. Types GK 1 and GK 2 have a heavy top plate with double round-welded heavy solid steel king pin. Remaining types have a very heavy machined housing, with machined seats, which is round-welded on a heavy top plate. The swivel-legs are welded on the solid steel machined swivel-discs with the use of an in-between bridge, at the types GK 1 and GK 2. As to the other types the swivel-legs are welded on the heavy solid steel machined swivel-disc which forms a whole with the central king pin, with the use of an in-between bridge. To avoid loosening, the central nut is welded after adjusting. By means of an O-ring the bearings are protected against dust and dirt and the types GK 3, 4 and 5 at the same time have a thermoplastic cap to plug the hole in the topplate. To protect against environmental influences these brackets are hammer-blow grey lacquer coated. The swivel head is smooth running and has no play. The bearings are lubricated with durable grease. On request a grease-nipple can be fitted. The legs of the swivel- and fixed brackets are all round welded. Temperature range from -30° to +80°C.
These very robust heavy duty twin-brackets are under normal conditions maintenance-free and have an extremely long service life. Moreover the swivel resistance is reduced to the minimum because of the differential effect when using twin wheels. Specials; for instance brake-version or directional lock as well as brackets with different dimensions, are available on request.
Purposes at intensive normal use in the heavy segment, where very regular peak-loads appear in combination with very heavy loads and long-life, failure-free operating is demanded, justify the use of these brackets.
